We just got back from the Reliable Plant Conference (June 2-5) in Chicago, and we’re still riding the momentum. It was a packed couple of days filled with great conversations, new faces, and a lot of excitement around what’s next in the world of plant reliability and maintenance. Our booth stayed busy with a steady flow of professionals stopping in to learn more about how we help improve operations with smarter systems and hands-on support.
One of the most memorable moments came from a follow-up to our presentation at an oil and gas facility in Louisville last month. The sister site in Chicago had heard about what we brought to the table, and they were so impressed that they sent their facility manager to find us at the show. After a great conversation at our booth, we’ve now been invited to present directly to their team at the plant. That kind of connection is exactly why we show up.
What stood out in that conversation was their need for a system their team would use, one that integrates smoothly with SAP, and more importantly, comes with the support to get it off the ground. They wanted help setting up their database, optimizing their routes, and training their team to do things right from day one. That’s where we shine. Route optimization isn’t just a buzzword for us. We get hands-on to make sure the right parts are being inspected, nothing important is skipped, and the process aligns with the client’s desired outcomes and goals. No more ticking boxes on paper when the job hasn’t actually been done. No more gaps in lubrication rounds that can put entire operations at risk.
We recently visited another facility that was still using paper. A couple of weeks later, they had a serious incident that would have been easily avoidable if they were using a mobile inspection system, and now they are at the risk of closing down. This really highlights the importance of leveraging DMSI’s service department, whose team members are subject matter experts (SMEs) in MAINTelligence™ and skilled at integrating work processes into the system.
At the tradeshow, we established strong connections with other companies in the reliability community that offer complementary products and services. We don’t always mention how much we enjoy fostering these types of relationships, but we’re always happy to connect and explore how we can help each other grow.
As for the lighter side of the show, because yes, there was some fun to be had too, we can’t forget the two showstoppers: the 1956 Ford Chevy and the Back to the Future DeLorean. Both drew a crowd and added a cool throwback vibe to the event. And Casino Night was a blast. It was great to unwind with peers in a more relaxed setting while still having meaningful conversations and making new contacts. Definitely one of our favourite networking moments from the week.
From start to finish, Reliable Plant 2025 in Chicago was a success from every angle. Conversations that mattered, leads that look promising, and new relationships we’re excited to grow. We’ll be following up with a lot of the people we met, and we’re looking forward to seeing where those conversations take us.
We hope you enjoy the photos from the event. And if you were there too and snapped a few good ones, tag us. We’d love to see your highlights reel.
